Multiple Creative Solutions

Do you need a remodeler or builder who truly listens to your needs? One who has enough experience to offer you multiple creative solutions? These homeowners were looking for someone who would not only listen to their dreams for their home, but offer them options as well. We are so glad that they attended one of our seminars last year and made the decision to call us.

An Outdated Kitchen

These homeowners were ready to turn their outdated kitchen into a chef’s dream. With a peninsula countertop that confused the traffic flow in the kitchen, and soffits that were no longer trendy, our homeowners were ready for a serious transformation to their kitchen, plus some finishing touches to other areas in the main level of their home.

BEFORE

One of the main focuses of this design, was to find a solution for the soffits. Our clients knew immediately that they wanted to install custom ceiling height cabinets, but they wanted a look that offered more visual appeal than just the standard ceiling height cabinets. We worked out some solutions with them, and here is what the finished cabinetry will look like.

Kitchen Demolition

The first step in this process was to remove the existing cabinetry. Since customized cabinets were going to be installed, everything had to go. Next, the soffits were removed to make way for the new ceiling height cabinets, and then patched up in preparation for them to be installed.

Choosing Colors

Once the room has been patched up and ready to go, our designer took some time to paint options on the wall for our clients. Here you can see, we are offering three different paint color options – the goal is to help make some of the decision making process go a bit smoother for the homeowners.

Custom Cabinets

Once the colors have been chosen, and the walls painted, it is time to move in the new cabinetry. The finished kitchen is going to be beautiful!

Installing Floors

The next step in this process is to prep the sub flooring throughout the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, living room; even into the entryway.

The new floors make quite a transformation in the main level of this home.

Wainscoting

Although the custom cabinetry and wood flooring create a beautiful space, one thing that takes the final design over the top is the addition of ivory colored wainscoting as you can see in the dining room below.

This wainscoting will also be added to the entire lower level (kitchen, entryway, and powder room) creating a slight farmhouse feel to the home.
