This Unique Design Brings Hollywood Style and High-End Materials Together

This original closet was under-utilized, storing only a piece of exercise equipment and a few odds and ends. It provided the perfect area for a glamour room, as the bathroom itself was not large enough for three teenage girls to get ready and do their hair and makeup. And here it is...the "glam" room. The homeowners found inspiration photos online which were used to create and adapt our version of the glamour room for them.

This is a Wisconsin Builders Assocation Badger Craftsman Award winning project.

Personalized Drawers

Each of the three girls has a separate drawer for keeping her irons and hair dryer in. Each drawer has a special electrical outlet installed that is UL listed and allows them to leave their devices plugged in and stored inside the drawer. No counter top clutter in this room.

Sliding Mirror

Many details were considered in the design of this space. Like the extra large full length mirror on the back of the sliding barn door. The door hardware is a long vertical bar pull.

Individual Lighting

Each girl also has a dressing room style mirror with individually controllable dimmer lighting on one side, and extra outlets on the other.

In keeping with the theme of a bathroom remodel that we did down the hall, Cambria Quartz countertops were chosen for their diamond-like sparkles. White cabinets enhance the sparkle of the quartz tops, and a sparkling chandelier adds the perfect touch to this glamorous space.

Beautiful Barn Door

A beautiful barn door now takes the place of the original bi-fold closet doors. The door is in a maple finish and matches the new bathroom vanity. To avoid the outrageous expense of a custom door this size, our supplier joined two solid core, flat slab doors together and created a large door that flows seamlessly. The door, and the hardware that was used were all carefully selected to enhance the already existing theme of modern elegance throughout the home, and the new theme of elegance that is waiting to be discovered behind the door.

Award-Winning Project

We celebrate that this Glamour Room, in conjunction with the adjacent bathroom space, is a Wisconsin Builders Association Badger Craftsman Award winning project in the category of Bathroom Under $30K.
