This kitchen remodeling project was undertaken for our clients Mary and Doug who are empty nesters and the original owners of this 1990's Parade home.  The home was purchased as a spec house. Purchasing a nearly completed property restricted their ability to customize the kitchen to meet their specific needs. It was finally time for them to update.

A Thoughtful Approach To Kitchen Design

A decision was made to keep the existing cabinetry and to update the look through the use of color. The perimeter cabinets and crown moulding were painted a warm contemporary brown with a white island base. These colors coordinate with the new Cambria Laneshaw, Waterstone Collection countertops and the Cantina 4x12, Bianco backsplash tile. New cabinet hardware pulls and knobs by Berenson are an elegant addition that brings a bit of transitional style to the kitchen. The cabinetry colors as well all other design selections were carefully chosen. They are contemporary and intended to complement the rest of the home without making any other room feel dated.
