Transitional Style Ranch Gets Bathroom Renovations

Ann and Jerry recently moved back to Middleton to be closer to their young grandchildren. They were looking for a single-story home and had a higher budget. They understood that even with their generous budget, any home they chose would need at least some remodeling. They were looking for a home with good bones that were 10 to 20 years old, in a beautiful neighborhood, well below their max budget to allow them to remodel it into their dream home. Having found the right home in the right location, they hired one of our partners, Dondi at Belle Domicile, to create a design for a luxurious, spa-like master bathroom. Dondi brought us in to make the bathroom renovation happen.

Creating the Perfect Spa-Like Bathroom For Aging in Place

The master bathroom had a common problem found in houses of this era. An oversized jetted tub that was never used. The master bathroom renovation included removing the tub. That allowed us to create a large shower where the tub used to be. Ann and Jerry wanted to create a bathroom that would remain functional as they age. The shower is set up for comfortable and safe aging in place. It includes a teak bench, a Delta H2O kinetic technology shower head, and an adjustable hand shower.

A Master Bathroom Renovation With Function And Form 

Along with the functional features in the master bathroom renovation, we added luxurious features like beautiful tile work and a transom window looking out into the private backyard. A glass shower enclosure ensures plenty of light throughout the entire bathroom. Giving up the tub and a part of the old shower space allowed us to create the perfect makeup station for our aging-in-place client. The makeup station, the beautiful use of wallpaper, and a decorative sconce are the focal points of the entire bathroom as you look from the bedroom into the bathroom space. 

Updating the Main and Downstairs Bathrooms

Along with creating the perfect spa-like master bathroom, the guest and downstairs bathrooms also received updates and upgrades. Tile walls were installed in the tub and shower areas. For a luxurious touch, we added heated floors in all of the bathrooms. New cabinets, countertops, faucets, and fixtures were installed to ensure the home has a better-than-new look to the entire interior!
