Transitional To Modern Kitchen Remodel

NARI Madison CotY Residential Kitchen $60K-$100K

One project that won a 2018 NARI Madison CotY Award is a remodeled kitchen and main level for a home in the Sixmile Creek neighborhood of Waunakee. Bob & Julie’s 1990’s U-shaped peninsula kitchen had many problems. The refrigerator was an antiquated 33” model without space to upgrade, and it opened in the wrong spot. The microwave sat on a countertop, while a cheap, noisy, ineffective vent was above the crowded range. Worst of all, the “dining room” was so underutilized that the clients had a folding chair as part of its furnishings. This home was transformed into a large kitchen with an island, generous prep space around the sink and range, and plenty of seating room. Best of all, it is now connected to a graciously sized semi-formal dining area, and the seldom-used living room is also connected, ready for relaxation or family gatherings. Three Season Porch Transitional Ranch

NARI Madison CotY Residential Addition Under $100K

Our second winning project is a three-season sunroom addition in the Terrace Park neighborhood in Windsor. The original deck on the house was too hot in the afternoon and evening and lacked the privacy from adjacent homes that the clients desired. After evaluating screened porches and three or four season rooms, Rick & Stacy decided on a three-season room that would be highly connected to the outdoors but could temper spring and fall chills, thanks to porch windows and a gas fireplace. The porch windows open up or down ¾ of the way so that in beautiful summer weather, they can enjoy the breeze and feel as if they are in a screened porch. But as fall arrives, closing those windows allows the sun to warm the room, and if that’s not enough, the gas fireplace will take the chill out of the room to cuddle up. One of the storm doors even has a doggie door built in, so that Bailey can let herself out to the yard as she needs! Click here to view this three-season porch project.

Front & Back Ranch Home Porch Additions

NARI Madison CotY Residential Exterior (multiple spaces) $100K-$200K

Our third award winning project is a transformed home near the high school in DeForest. The location of Laura and Todd’s house was exactly where they wanted it, but its faux cape cod style didn’t have the desired curb appeal, and the main living area had no connection to the backyard. We solved this by transforming the home in several ways. A generous front porch, with new garage door and stonework, changes the style of the home to a relaxed country appeal. In the backyard, a deck built over a new three-season porch leads to a patio and firepit with a seating wall for where friends can gather together.
